My birthday present!

Today I got my birthday present! It’s an ANWB WXR815 Weather-station! It has: wind-, rain-, uv-, temperature-, humidity-meter and a wind-direction indicator. All wireless! And it has an USB connector too! Great gift of my lovely wife Annemarie!

Only, when i try to hook it up to my Ubuntu machine, it doesn’t do anything..... :-( I have to find a way to get it hooked up to my Ubuntu.......

I did e-mail HIDEKI and I called Cresta in the Netherlands. Both told me that it was ‘proprietary’ how measurements should be read from the device. HEY! I did BUY the damn thing! I did not buy a ‘using license’ for the damn thing! And, bye the way, the measurements are made in my house and garden/back yard... this means that HIDEKI OWNS MY READINGS? No way! This isn’t how things work here in the Netherlands! It are my measurements and I have the right to retrieve those the way I like it. And not how some foreign manufacturer thinks I should do it!
